The Impact of Early Childhood Education and Care Policies
The cost of childcare for American families has led to growing interest in policies that reduce out-of-pocket costs for households. The Budget Lab recently released a report using a new microsimulation model estimating the costs and benefits of a variety of illustrative federal policies that aim to increase access to affordable care, highlighting the tradeoffs between different approaches.
Please join the Budget Lab on May 4 for a webinar on early childhood education and care, featuring a presentation of the Budget Lab’s latest work by Harris Eppsteiner, followed by a panel discussion with Elena Patel (Tax Policy Center), Diane Whitmore Schanzenbach (Georgetown University), and John Ricco (The Budget Lab), moderated by Moriah Balingit (Associated Press).
