The current inflationary and high-interest-rate environment has brought renewed attention to the U.S. debt trajectory. Congress is currently faced with the expiration of much of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act as it works toward a budget resolution, which could have major consequences for the U.S. fiscal outlook.
